Australia-headquartered Comix.one is an “end-to-end ecosystem” and discovery platform for independent comics.
The firm said the collaboration with HP’s Graphics Solutions business and its worldwide network of print service providers would empower independent comic book creators from around the world to reach and engage fans of print comics.
The new print-on-demand (POD) option will launch on the platform in late August.
HP's Brand Center software and SiteFlow APIs will be integrated into the Comix.one platform, “streamlining the process from pre-press proofing through to fulfilment”.
There will be a phased rollout beginning with the USA, Canada, UK, EU and Australia. The POD comic books will be printed, packaged and shipped for each reader.
Comix.one founder Saurabh Bhatia commented: “As a lifelong fan of comic books and now independent ones, we love the feeling of holding a physical book in our hands.
“Thanks to this collaboration with HP, we intend to bring stability, scalability, reliability and great customer experience to our creators and readers.”
The power of the network and collaboration between HP users around the world was among the topics discussed at the recent Dscoop user community event in Slovenia.
