Canon has officially announced two new desktop large-format printers — the imagePROGRAF TC-5210 and TC-5210 M. These upgraded models build on Canon’s strong reputation for stability, productivity, and sustainability, while offering improved user convenience and media compatibility.
Designed for professionals like designers, engineers, and architects — as well as businesses needing efficient poster and flyer printing — these printers deliver high-precision results in a compact, user-friendly form. This launch reflects Canon’s commitment to user-centered innovation and continuous progress in the printing industry.
Both models feature a space-saving design, allowing all operations — from paper loading to ink replacement — to be done from the front. They also support ultra-narrow margin printing on roll paper, achieving near borderless prints for top and bottom edges, and reducing side margins. This gives posters and brochures a more polished, edge-to-edge visual effect.
In terms of media compatibility, the TC-5210 series stands out. They handle a wide range of media — from coated and glossy paper to synthetic materials — with stable, high-quality output. The upgraded automatic sheet feeder supports various sizes, including A3, A4, postcards, envelopes, medicine packaging, and labels, allowing seamless multi-size printing for higher efficiency.
Canon also emphasizes sustainability in the design. About 5% of the metal parts are made from recycled steel, and around 40% of the plastic components use recycled materials. This helps reduce single-use plastic and lowers the printers’ environmental impact throughout their lifecycle — showing Canon’s deep commitment to eco-friendly innovation.
